Course Description

The Music Theater Ensemble (MUSC 126) [001 or 011] is designed to provide training and performance experience for the singing-actor. Members of the Music Theater Ensemble learn performance techniques through a series of musical and theatrical exercises and the performance of songs and ensembles from Broadway to opera. The ensemble class covers physical coordination and freedom of movement on stage, improvisation, audition techniques, and how to communicate with your audience. The ensemble is offered every semester and performs at least one concert per semester. Auditions will be held at the beginning of eachsemester.
