The IUP Chamber Singers (MUSC 121) specializes in works for small choirs from all historical periods, with a deliberate emphasis on unaccompanied, student-directed singing.

IUP Chamber SingersChamber Singers performs a broad spectrum of repertoire ranging from early Gregorian chant to contemporary works. The ensemble rehearses Tuesday and Thursday from 11:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and is offered for one or zero credits (MUSC 121 001).

Auditions for Chamber Singers will be held in Cogswell Hall, room 111, during the first three days of the semester. Find a convenient time on the sign-up list at the door and enter your name. It is not necessary to prepare a solo for your audition. The director will vocalize you to hear the weight, color, and range of your voice, ask you to sight-read, and play some simple melodies for you to repeat. All students from across campus are encouraged to audition. Contact Craig Denison (Craig.Denison@iup.edu) for more information.
