This invitational exhibition celebrates the one hundredth anniversary of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and features works by members with a connection to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). These include faculty and graduates of IUP's visual arts programs and AAP members who live and work in the region surrounding IUP. The exhibition is curated by Vaughn Clay, who taught painting at IUP and also served as president of AAP. Among the exhibiting artists are Peter Calaboyias, Ron Donoughe, Donn Hedman, Adrienne Heinrich, Chuck Olson, Anna Marie Schnur, Ned O. Wert, Kamal Youssef, and Hisham Youssef.
Extra! The Art of Harris, Williams Brewer, and Shahn

This multi-disciplinary exhibit includes "Charles Teenie' Harris: Rhapsody in Black and White," a travelling photographic exhibit on loan from the August Wilson Center for African-American Culture; "The Courier Project," a collection of quilts by Tina Williams Brewer; and an exhibit of civil rights prints by Ben Shahn from the museum's permanent collection. Harris (1908-1998) was an African-American photojournalist from Pittsburgh who documented life in the city's African-American neighborhoods and worked for the Pittsburgh Courier for most of the twentieth century. Williams Brewer is a Pittsburgh-based, award-winning African-American quilt artist. Shahn (1898-1969), a Lithuanian-born American photographer and artist, was best known for his works of social realism. This exhibit is being presented as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and Black History Month. It is funded, in part, by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
