IUP Moodle Project Status

As reported by the provost, IUP will be transitioning from WebCT to Moodle as its Learning Management System (LMS). Please see the status report for timeline and other planning information.

What is Moodle?

Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (moodle) is an open source Learning Management System that offers collaborative learning tools, activity-based learning, and interaction with materials that encourage critical reflection. Moodle offers standard features including gradebook, online quizzes, forums and assignments.

• Instructional Technology Service for Enrolled IUP Students

• Running moodle.org series 1.9
• Logon is accomplished using IUP network (IUPMSD) username/password
• Users must possess an IUP network (IUPMSD) account to gain access to moodle.iup.edu
• Timeout: 60 minutes of inactivity
