Master of Arts in Criminology

  • Advance your career in administration in the criminal justice system and related fields by earning your M.A. in Criminology from IUP.

    Prepare for advanced positions in the areas of federal, state, and local law enforcement and corrections; federal and county probation and parole; and juvenile justice. You can also develop a foundation for doctoral study in order to become a college and university professor and researcher.

    • Take evening courses, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
    • Complete your program in five semesters.
    • Build a supportive professional and academic network in your cohort by moving through your sequence of classes as a group.
    • Receive individual attention from doctoral-level IUP faculty members who are researchers and practitioners in their areas of expertise.

    IUP is accepting applications for Spring (January) 2011 admission consideration.

    • Signed and dated statement of career and academic goals

    • $40 nonrefundable application fee. Note: As of July 1, 2011, the application fee will be $50.
