Master of Arts in Adult and Community Education

  • IUP’s M.A. in Adult and Community Education (ACE) program helps you to develop knowledge and skills in educational program management, program planning techniques, and in methods of helping adults learn.

    Join students and colleagues in the ACE program who represent a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, including training and development, health care, human resource management, adult basic and literacy education, social services, higher education, and community development and outreach.

    Program Features

    • Take courses part-time, two evenings per week(typically Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.)
    • Complete your program in two-years (six semesters, total) by taking two courses per term
    • Learn from doctoral-level IUP faculty memberswho are active in teaching, research and service

    Organization and Administration in ACE
    Facilitating Adult Learning
    Elements of Research
    Seminar in ACE

    IUP’s School of Graduate Studies and Research is accepting applications for Fall 2011. Submit the following items to IUP's School of Graduate Studies and Research for admission consideration:
