McNair Scholars Brittany Allman, Alisia Drew, and Rebecca Santi presented their research at the National McNair Research Conference and Graduate School Fair, March 17–20, 2011.

McNair Scholars Brittany Allman, a senior Physical Education and Sport major, and Jarred Smith, a senior Political Science major, were invited to attend Ohio State University’s Graduate and Professional Schools Visitation Days Program, November 7-9, 2010.

McNair Scholar Jennifer Casanova traveled to Anaheim, California, from September 29 to October 3, 2010, to attend the annual Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science national conference.

Nineteen new scholars have been selected to participate in the IUP McNair Scholars Program for academic year 2010–2011.

The sixth annual McNair Summer Research Symposium will be held June 25 and 26, 2009, in McElhaney Hall, Room 206. Music performances will be held in Cogswell Hall, Room 102. Here is the schedule of presentations.

Sunday, June 14, 2009, was move-in day for the second annual Upward Bound Math and Science Program participants from local area high schools (Indiana, Marion Center, United, Penns Manor, and Purchase Line).

Dr. Masilela was given special recognition from the graduate school this past fall with a “Reach Beyond” award.
