Pararai Publishes Article on Generalized Power Lindley Distribution

Dr. Mavis Pararai of the Mathematics Department had the article “A New Class of Generalized Power Lindley Distribution with Applications to Lifetime Data” which she co-authored with Gayan Warahena-Liyanage (a student in the M.S. Applied Mathematics program) and Broderick O. Oluyede, published in Theoretical Mathematics & Applications.

Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences Speaker, Sponsored by S-COAM and Mathematics Department

Peter Vanden Bosch will give three talks at IUP on October 22, 2014, as part of the INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) Speakers Program. The talks should be of interest to undergraduates of all levels.
