When you post events to your office or department calendar, be sure to add them to the appropriate university calendars as well, including the Diversity Events Calendar and Homecoming.

You can do either or both by selecting the Homecoming and/or the Diversity Events check boxes on the Taxonomy tab when editing the event.

Here's how: When creating or editing any event, go to the Taxonomy tab. Then, under University Calendars, click on Homecoming, Diversity Event, and any other type of calendar for your audience. Save your event, and you're done. (The animation below demonstrates the process.)

  2. If necessary, click on University Calendars to expand those categories.

  3. Select the appropriate check box(es) for your event.

  4. Click Save.

Here's full info on How to Create a Calendar Event.

There are additional calendars to which you might also want to add your event. Here's what's appropriate for each calendar:

Student Events On-campus art and entertainment: art exhibitions, concerts, dance events, lectures, movies, musicals, open mic nights, poetry readings, theater, and more.
Diversity Events On-campus events that are about diversity, or which showcase diversity at IUP.
Community Events On-campus events that are open to those outside the IUP community.
Arts and Entertainment Events

The Digital Team reviews these calendars from time to time to make sure that events on each calendar are correctly placed.

Check Your Current Web Maintainer List

Please take a moment to review the list of Web Maintainers for your office or department. If there's anyone who needs to be removed or added, please submit an ihelp ticket and let us know. Only site approvers can request changes to the web maintainers list. (If you're on the list, but are no longer a web maintainer, let us know that, too.)

As always, contact us at web-team@iup.edu or via ihelp if you have any questions.
