At Indiana University of Pennsylvania, mathematics majors find the solution. IUP can offer you everything you need to prepare for a successful career or graduate work in mathematics.

Under the guidance of IUP’s Mathematics faculty, you’ll take classes such as Calculus II, Probability and Statistics for Natural Sciences, Differential Equations, and Introduction to Mathematical Proofs. As part of your major, you’ll also choose from a list of mathematics courses and take a few classes in computer science.

Use Your Electives to Add a Minor for Your Resume

Free electives offered by this major give you the opportunity to explore another field by adding a minor. Some of the minors offered by IUP include business administration for nonmajors, computer science, sociology/applied social research, information assurance (criminology/computer science), political science, anthropology, dance, and theater.

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree will prepare you for graduate studies in mathematics or for a professional career in fields such as financial forecasting, space systems, transportation, cryptography, construction, computer systems, medicine, robotics, economics, statistical analysis, government, industry, or management science.
