Managers find job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. The services sector—including health care, information technology, finance, and transportation— is expected to offer more job growth potential than industrial production.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of administrative services managers is projected to grow 12 percent (an average rate) over the 2006-to-2016 decade. Transportation managers also are expected to experience an average job outlook. Jobs for medical and health services managers, however, are expected to grow 16 percent—a faster-than-average rate—from 2006 to 2016, according to the report.
