    Athletic Coaching

    This certification is recommended for any student who has an interest in coaching athletes. Students will have a chance to earn a variety of certifications, including CPR, American Sport Education Program  Coaching Certification, or Certified Special Olympics Coach.

    Culinary Arts Program/Baking and Pastry Arts Program

    With a Certificate in Culinary Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), you will be well-qualified for a position in the food industry and prepared to move your career forward. Our Culinary Arts program and our Baking and Pastry Arts program are nationally recognized and accredited by the American Culinary Federation.

    Fashion Merchandising - in Collaboration with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City

    Through this program, you can begin at IUP and attend FIT for part of your education. At graduation from IUP, you can receive both a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from IUP and an Associate of Applied Science degree from FIT.


    Completion of the certificate may further strengthen the student’s major program of study and prepare the graduate for one of many careers in aging.

    Photography and Digital Imaging

    Completing this certificate program will help to prepare you for careers involving photography or increase your value to employers in related areas.

    Popular Music

    The Certificate in Popular Music introduces skills in the performance, recording, and marketing of popular music. Completion of the certificate will add popular music credentials for students in communications media, music, and other areas.

    Public History

    The certificate complements majors in related fields such as anthropology, communications media, and education. Completion of the certificate will prepare students to pursue positions in libraries, museums, archives, national parks, heritage sites, media, and corporations.

    Reverse Transfer Agreement between IUP and WCCC

    IUP students may transfer credits earned at IUP to Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC) and earn an associate degree from WCCC while still continuing studies at IUP.
