Archive photo from "The Oak"

Harrison Wick in the University Archives supplied this photo from the 1968 Oak. Taken, apparently, at a Miller Stadium football game, it offers all sorts of puzzlers: Who are these guys? How did the one on the left break his ankle/leg? How did he get onto the ledge in the first place? Why is the fellow next to him so tired? If you have answers, let us know. If you have photographs, scrapbooks, or memorabilia you would like to donate, contact Wick at the University Archives in Stapleton Library at 724-357-3039 or hwick@iup.edu.

Roomful of Scholars

Undergraduate Scholars Forum

At the Undergraduate Scholars Forum in the spring, Kyona Williams listened to Eddie Guzman’s explanation. Guzman and Stephanie Kerr had collaborated on the poster “Leaders of Our Children: Dr. Seuss.”

Peelor Map

In 2002, the late Trustee David Johnson ’53 and his wife, Audrey Vogan Johnson ’52, donated an 1856 map of Indiana County to Stapleton Library. Displayed on the library’s second floor, the map is the work of David Peelor, the county’s chief surveyor and draftsman from 1856 to 1859. Peelor Map, courtesy of IUP Special Collections
