Susan Shank ’97 Elected to Board of Women’s Business Network

Susan Shank ’97 was recently elected to a two-year term on the Board of Directors for Women’s Business Network, Inc. Susan is an assistant vice president and business development officer with S&T Bank, where she has worked for the past twelve years. She started her career as a part-time employee, and within six years advanced to be a full-time branch manager. Currently, she manages the S&T Bank employee banking program, called “On the Job,” where she teaches others how to be financially healthy in both school and on the job. 

Susan, a resident of Homer City, Pa., donates her time to helping her communities grow through her involvement with various local organizations. She is the marketing/public relations chair of the Indiana Chapter of Women’s Business Network, a member of the Homer City Women’s Club, and a member of the Homer City United Methodist Church, where she serves as the worship team leader, worship committee chairperson, and youth leader. She has been active in getting God’s word out to others through mission trips to places such as Poland and South Africa. Her unselfishness in helping others was recognized in 2007 when she was named Indiana County Female Civic Leader of the Year.

Women’s Business Network was founded in 1989 and provides an environment for support and assistance for entrepreneurial and established women-owned businesses in Southwestern Pennsylvania. For more information, visit the Women’s Business Network website.
