Lee Zoeller ’86, a partner at the international law firm of Reed Smith, was elected president of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation for 2009–2010.
His duties as president will include participation in the institute’s training schools, symposia, and seminars held around the United States. He will preside over Board of Governors meetings and, together with IPT administrative staff at the headquarters in Atlanta, direct the institute’s many activities.
Zoeller is the chairperson of Reed Smith’s State Tax practice group and is resident in the firm’s Philadelphia office. He has represented business taxpayers in litigation before administrative boards and courts in the United States for over twenty years, providing multistate tax advice to corporations on various state income, franchise, and sales tax issues.
The Institute for Professionals in Taxation is an international organization dedicated to promoting the uniform and equitable administration of state and local taxation of businesses.
