This is a photo of the Brolen Sky Band taken in lower downtown Denver in March 2008. “The name comes from our last names,” said Stefan Brodsky ’75. “Chris and I put the band together in late ’06. We’re doing a lot of old school R&B, and we have a couple of summer gigs booked already. We think we have a chance to play at several of the delegation parties at this summer’s Democratic National Convention here in Denver.”
Stefan and David Cekovsky ’87 did not know each other before Cekovsky responded to a Craigslist musician’s classified ad, when the band was looking for a new bass player. “It is a small world, as he’s originally from Punxsutawney, and I, of course, was born and raised in Indiana. He lives in Louviers, Colorado, south of Denver, while I reside in Thornton, on the north side of town,” said Brodsky.
