Michael Yoder ’96 is the newest member of the litigation support team at Pacific Legal, based in Portland, Oregon. Yoder brings significant experience as a military prosecutor to his role as a litigation technology consultant.
Yoder came to the Pacific Northwest after five years serving in a number of legal capacities with the U.S. Air Force. Most recently, as an international prosecutor at Camp Cropper, Iraq, he worked with the U.S. Marines in the Al Anbar Province to develop criminal evidence against captured insurgents for prosecution by the Central Criminal Court of Iraq.
In 2005, he became the chief military prosecutor, managing a team of eight attorneys prosecuting criminal acts on Sheppard Air Force Base and working directly with FBI and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. In 2003, Yoder spearheaded a number of prosecutions as a criminal litigator in military courts-martial and as a special assistant to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Yoder holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from IUP. In addition, he is a member of the Elder Law Clinic representing elderly clients pro bono.
