David Mastovich ’87, M’92 Publishes E-book of Top Columns

David Mastovich ’87, M’92, owner and president of Massolutions, Inc., recently published an e-book, Light Reading Top 10, which provides 10 strategies to increase sales and improve messaging.

Massolutions is an integrated marketing firm based in Pittsburgh.

In the past eight years, David has entertained and informed readers through his Light Reading column/blog, which has been featured in more than 50 media outlets, with a readership of more than 1 million.

The author asked Light Reading subscribers to vote for their top-10 Light Reading columns. The result is the new e-book, which may be downloaded free on the Massolutions website.

His IUP roots remain strong. David served as keynote speaker for marketing majors as part of IUP Business Day in 2013. He also has been a speaker at Marketing Management classes for the MBA program at IUP.

David founded Massolutions 12 years ago and eventually added a second office in his native Johnstown. Before working as president for Massolutions, he held senior management positions with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Duquesne University, and Monongahela Valley Hospital. He also has led the strategic turnaround of organizations in numerous industries.

Mastovich has served as a strategic planning, marketing, and public relations instructor/lecturer for IUP, St. Francis University, and Mount Aloysius College. He also is author of the book Get Where You Want to Go, about how to achieve both personal and professional growth through marketing, selling, and storytelling.
