Denise Guiney Perkins ’67 Receives Lifetime Clinical Career Award

Denise Guiney Perkins ’67 received the 2013 Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award from the Utah Speech and Hearing Association, and she will now be considered as recipient of the award at the national level. Denise graduated from IUP with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a major in Speech Pathology.

“I earned my master’s degree at the University of Utah in 1972, and have had a wonderful career and am still working as the director of Rehab Services at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah,” Denise said. “I owe a portion of my achievement to IUP for the stellar education I received there a long, long time ago.”
