Joseph Lipsitz ’07 has attained his Certified Financial Planner designation. The CFP designation recognizes a standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning.
Joseph has been an affiliated financial advisor with L&M Financial since 2009. He graduated summa cum laude from the Robert E. Cook Honors College at IUP with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a chartered federal employee benefits consultant and a certified public accountant.
The CFP certification process, administered by the CFP Board, identifies to the public those individuals in the U.S. who have met rigorous professional standards and agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients.
CFPs are required to master nearly 100 integrated financial planning topics, including general principles of financial planning; insurance planning and risk management; and employee benefits, investment, income tax, retirement, and estate planning.
