Teachers Reunited

“Six of us have been meeting monthly for about 14 years,” she said. “We are all retired now, and often wonder how we found time to teach with our busy lives!” This photo was taken at a local restaurant in Meadville, Pa., and the group meets at different location each month.

Jane Ludwig Broudy ’65 lives in Mt. Lebanon, Pa. She taught in the Pittsburgh city schools, retiring from Stevens Elementary School in 1999.

Mary Bowser Mohr ’66 taught in Reserve Township Elementary near Pittsburgh on Mt. Troy Hill and then Tussey Mountain in Saxton, Pa., and the Hollidaysburg Area School District in Hollidaysburg, Pa. She now lives in Ft. Myers, Fla., and Bedford, Pa.

Mary Sue Prokop ’66 taught in Harrold Junior High School, Hempfield Area School District, for one semester and South Allegheny High School, South Allegheny School District, for 35 years. She lives in North Braddock, Pa.

Barbara Delafield Mitchell ’65 taught in Rockford Public Schools, Rockford Ill.; Churchill Area School District; and Woodland Hills School District in Pa. She lives in Wilkins Township.

Leila Esper Bekic ’67 taught at East Allegheny, MillcreekTownship, and Erie Country Day School, and retired from Erie City School District. She resides in Erie, Pa.

Lorraine Mailki Biel ’66 taught in Butler Area School, Butler, Pa., and Mentor Schools, Mentor, Ohio, where she also resides.
