Registered dietitian Sarah Bronder Marcy ’05, M’06 has been named the 2011 Young Dietitian of the Year by the Kansas Dietetic Association (KDA).
This award recognizes a dietitian thirty-five years of age or younger who demonstrates involvement at the local, state, and national levels of the American Dietetic Association and provides leadership and advancement in the field of dietetics.
Marcy received the honor for her leadership and achievements with state and district associations. She held KDA positions of 2011 Council on Professional Issues chair and 2010 CPI chair elect, and served on KDA’s website renovation ad hoc committee and the Wichita District Dietetic Association’s National Nutrition Month committee.
Marcy (below, at right) was presented her award at KDA’s annual conference in Wichita on April 15, 2011.
Marcy holds a Master of Science degree in Food and Nutrition and has worked as a clinical dietitian for Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kansas, for the past three years. She currently resides in Wichita with her husband, James, and son, Landon.
