John Miller ’77, vice president of Information Technology for American Textile Company, was honored as the Chief Information Officer of the Year, in the Enterprise Category, by the Pittsburgh Technology Council.

John’s thirty-four years of IT experience in the industry, his track record for successfully planning and implementing system integrations, and his management strength helped to earn him this recognition. He has been key in the company’s corporate expansion process by reviewing all systems and processes throughout the company to identify areas of improvement and opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Cohosted by the Greater Pittsburgh CIO Group and the Pittsburgh Technology Council, the CIO of the Year program honors individual technology executives from industry, nonprofit, academia, and government. Nominees are recognized for their innovation and creativity in planning and deploying their enterprise systems, future technology goals, management philosophy, and service to the industry and community.
