Kathleen Kelley ’70 Named Pennsylvania Superintendent of the Year

Kathleen Kelley ’70 was named the 2011 Pennsylvania Superintendent of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators.

She is the superintendent of the Williamsport Area School District in Williamsport, Pa. Operating in her current district since 2006, she previously has worked as superintendent of the Indiana Area School District, as well as in a number of administrative positions in school districts throughout western Pennsylvania.

Kelley received her Ph.D. in Instructional Studies/Language Communications from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984, her master’s of education at California University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1970.
