J.R. Martinez

First Commonwealth Bank Endowed Lecture

Thursday, September 27, 8:00 p.m.; Fisher Auditorium, IUP Performing Arts Center

Sharing his story of resilience and optimism, J.R. Martinez is an Iraqi War hero, daytime television actor, and recent champion on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Most recently, Martinez narrated the CNN documentary Voters in America: Vets Wanted. He will speak as the First Commonwealth Bank Endowed Lecturer as part of the Lively Arts Ideas and Issues series.

Seth Rudetsky

A radio host, pianist, director, actor, Emmy-nominated writer, producer, and openly gay, Seth Rudetsky uses his rapid-fire sense of humor while he shares stories about the world of theater and entertainment. An expert on the state of Broadway, Mr. Rudetsky gives an historical perspective to the role theater plays in the American landscape.
