Lively Arts Outreach Plans Are Busy

The Lively Arts at IUP will present several outreach events to students and the greater Indiana community, including the opportunity to play Taiko drums with Drum TAO, dance with the renowned RIOULT Dance NY, and interact with cast members from the hit musical Mamma Mia!

Guest Pianist to Perform at IUP February 8

Visiting pianist Miha Haas will present an evening of piano music on Monday, February 8, at 8:00 p.m. in Gorell Hall. IUP piano professor Henry Wong-Doe will also join Haas in performing two piano duos. The concert is free and open to the public.

Drum TAO Travels from Japan With Stop in Indiana

The Lively Arts at IUP is bringing Drum TAO: Seventeen Samurai directly from Japan to Fisher Auditorium. This high-energy performance of one of Japan’s most celebrated company of martial arts drummers will be held on Tuesday, February 9.

Graduate Student Works in Museum and Galleries

The University Museum and Kipp Galleries will host the 2016 Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibitions. Showcasing a variety of media, the exhibitions will be on view February 6 through March 4, with a public reception on Saturday, February 6.

“Mamma Mia!” Tickets Available

The smash hit musical “Mamma Mia!” is coming to IUP as part of the Lively Arts 2015–16 event season. The Broadway production will be held March 2 in Fisher Auditorium.

“Hairy Ape” Tickets Available
