Poetry Out Loud Regional Recitation Competition

Upper Lobby, Performing Arts Center, IUP Main Campus

Now in its 12th year, Poetry Out Loud is a national recitation program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, and in Pennsylvania, is promoted and facilitated regionally for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts by one of the 14 partners in the Arts-in-Education partnership.

The public is invited to attend this free poetry recitation competition, featuring the school champions of participating high schools from the five-county ArtsPath region of Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson counties.

NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, the competition will be held on Monday, February 6, same time and same location.

This program is made possible through the AIE Partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency.  It is funded by the citizens of Pennsylvania through an annual legislative appropriation and administered locally by ArtsPath through the College of fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts is additionally supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
