IUP Punxsutawney Library

  • Our mission is to provide research support to the students and the faculty of the First-Year Program, and to build on the information literacy skills of all first-year students for lifelong learning.

    The IUP at Punxsutawney Library is open to of all members of the IUP community. While we are pleased to permit visitors to use our various library materials and resources within the library building, you must apply for borrowing privileges by way of a library card. Cards for members of the IUP community, or Library Special Borrower cards for visitors, can be obtained at the main campus.

    For Students

    • How can I get help with my library research assignment? Contact Professor Carrie Bishop at cbishop@iup.edu, or get your questions answered at LibAnswers.
    • Can I take a class on how to use the library? Yes, you can find the list of courses the library offers at IUP Libraries Credited Courses.
    • What if IUP doesn't have the books or articles I want? Please contact Mrs. Carol Asamoah at carasam@iup.edu for assistant with Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests.
    • How do I get to materials my professor has on reserve? Come into the library and visit Mrs. Carol Asamoah to request reserved material.
    • What other things can I borrow from the library? Multimedia, such as DVDs, CDs, and laptops. Come to the Circulation Desk for more information.
    • Can I get a job at the library? To apply for a job at the library, complete the application form and send it, as an email attachment, to Mrs. Carol Asamoah (carasam@iup.edu).
