Dr. Castle taught Health to grades 4, 6, and 8. He also taught physical education to grades K-8. Joshua Castle was a volunteer assistant coach with the Penns Valley High School track and field team. He is the advisor for the Sport Management Club and cochair to the IUP Sports Business Conference. Dr. Castle is linked to the HPED Technology Committee, Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, Graduate Curriculum Committee, Temporary Faculty Committee, and Senate Representative.
Both Joshua Castle and Robert Kostelnik wrote a paper on the impact of intercollegiate athletic success on the future freshman application pool at Division II universities. It appears in the Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics. Also, Castle and Barnes were involved with commentary on APR changing football recruiting and retention. It appears on the National Collegiate Athletic Association website.
