The new My Home page retains the News, Courses, and Technical Support widgets. The Calendar widget has been added in place of the Events and Updates widget. The overall layout has been updated to a two column design.

- My Home: Returns you to the My Home screen, the first page you see once you log into Desire2Learn.
- Course Selector: Courses are listed in the course selector, and you can sort them by course name or by date last accessed. You can also select specific courses from the course selector and pin them to the top of the list for easier navigation. Access the course you want from the course selector. Click Load More Courses to expand the course list, or use the Search field to find your course.
- Alerts: If you have unread alerts for pages, email or discussion posts, a red dot appears on the appropriate alert icon.
Message alerts - 
Email and pager messages.
Update alerts - 
New and updated news posts; upcoming dropbox end dates; released and updated grades; and upcoming quiz end dates.
Chatter alerts - 
New discussion posts in forums, topics, and specific message threads to which you subscribed.
- Personal menu: The personal menu contains links to your profile, notification settings, account settings, and log out options. Click your name on the minibar to open the personal menu.

- The reference links from the top navbar in 9.4 have been moved to the IUP Links drop-down menu.
- The action bar has been changed to a drop-down Action menu.
- The Updates widget is now part of the Update Alerts in the minibar.
- The default course navbar has been retained.
D2L Tools Example
The following represents a general example to assist you in locating tool options you may be familiar with from D2L 9.4 and their new locations in D2L 10.0. While the image below shows the grades tool, changes are consistent across all tools.

- The left menu and the toolbar near the top of the window have been moved to tabs
at the top of the tool.
- Menu items at the top of the tool have been moved to the action button just below the tabs.
- Settings have been moved from the menu on the left to the Settings link at the right of the tool tab.
- Action column items have been moved to the drop-down menus just to the right of
each item in the tool.
