The IT Support Center is offering faculty a new optical test scoring system: Remark, by Scantron.

Incorrect information regarding IT Support Hours for Winter term 2011 was published in the Penn on Friday, December 9, 2011.  The IT Support Center will offer support during the Winter session.

IUP has been selected as home to an important part of the PennREN network—a high-speed computer network for Pennsylvania designed to connect national networks with “last mile” regional and local networks.

Assistant director of financial aid Stacy Hopkins, systems analyst Erika Bracken, technology services coordinator Jeff Montgomery, and chief information officer Bill Balint will serve as co-presenters at the 2011 Pennsylvania Banner User Group conference.

IUP Technology Services Coordinator Tom Rodgers and Chief Information Officer Bill Balint were selected to present at the Campus Technology Magazine Forum 2011 on Sept. 27–29, 2011.

An upgrade of the Banner and URSA environments is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011. These services may be unavailable until Monday, September 26 at 6:00 a.m.

As a new academic year begins, you are reminded to never share your passwords with anyone. This includes your network password, your e-mail password, and your URSA pin number.
