Scheduled Network Outage on Sunday, March 10

IUP's computer network will undergo an upgrade during spring break on Sunday, March 10. It is anticipated there will not be IUP network connectivity from 5:00 a.m. to noon, including at the regional campuses.

IUP Cybersecurity Day Set for Oct. 31

IUP’s Institute for Cybersecurity, in collaboration with the PC4A Project and Information Technology Support Center, will host the sixteenth annual Cybersecurity Day on October 31. This annual event features nationally recognized security experts as well as speakers from government, the security industry, and academia. It is free and open to the community.

OneSIS Information: Employee Information Sessions

In April, IT held two informational sessions on OneSIS or One Student Information System, the Ellucian Banner Managed Cloud Shared Technology platform being adopted by PASSHE. A recording of the information session and a copy of the presentation are available on the IUP OneSIS website for reference.

IUP Core Network Router Maintenance

IT Services must complete IUP network core router maintenance resulting in brief network outages on Sunday October 23, 2022 beginning around 8:00 a.m. and again on Monday October 24, 2022 around 6:30 a.m..  

IUP Students Eligible to Obtain Microsoft Certifications

Announcing Eduroam Services for IUP Users

IUP is now a participant in eduroam, a secure, global internet service developed for the international research and education community. With IUP’s participation, IUP users will be able to connect to a participating university’s wireless network when visiting the university.

Employee Self-Service Login Changes Starting March 20

IUP Human Resources and IT Services have been notified by PASSHE that the Employee Self-Service Login page will be updated on March 20, 2021. You will be presented with a new login screen to select your authentication organization. IUP users will select “All Other PASSHE Users.”

IUP Dropbox Scheduled to be Discontinued

As referenced in a previous news item, IUP DropBox is being discontinued. If you have any data in the IUP Dropbox service, you will receive an email with more information on migrating this data to the Office 365 environment.

VoIP Maintenance Scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11

The IUP VoIP vendor needs to complete maintenance on our local equipment. This has been scheduled for Thursday, February 11, from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. The VoIP system will be unavailable at this time.

 Data Privacy Day is a global effort—taking place annually on January 28—that generates awareness about the importance of privacy, highlights easy ways to protect personal information, and reminds organizations that privacy is good for business. IUP is proud to be a Data Privacy Day champion.

iWiki Service to be Updated Thursday, Dec.17

There will be an update to the iWiki service during the Thursday morning maintenance window on December 17, 2020. There will be slight changes to the look and feel of the service.
