Overview:
Live Classroom allows students and instructors to interact in a "virtual" classroom in real time. It enables students to contact the professor and other students using text-chat or voice chat (requires a microphone and speakers or a telephone to dial into the Audio Bridge), to view a shared application, to view PowerPoint slides, and to share a whiteboard.
Testing your PC for Wimba Classroom:
When you first click on the Wimba Classroom tool in Moodle, you will see a list of available rooms. When you click on an individual room, you will see a note to run the setup wizard. You only need to run the wizard once on the computer you are using. If you have completed the wizard previously, simply click the hyperlink titled "click here" to enter the room. While in a room it is often helpful to click the "Help" link located at the bottom right of the window to access contextual help information or to contact Wimba technical support.
If you would like to test your computer now, please use the Wimba Classroom Setup Wizard.
Each room opens in a new window and launches many of its multimedia components through small, pop-up browser windows. In order to use Wimba Classroom, you will need to disable your browser's pop-up blockers. Please see the Wimba Technical Knowledge Base and search for "pop-up" to find the list of popup blockers and how to disable them.
Support:
For support on Wimba Classroom you can use the Wimba Technical Knowledge Base or contact the IT Support Center.
