Once you have located your course in My Moodle and selected the desired course you will see the course home page. Click on the image below to see various parts of a course home page with items highlighted in red.

At the top of of the page you will see the Navigation bar which will help you to move within the course. To log out of the course select the "Logout" link in the top right corner of the page. Below the logout link there are links to Moodle documentation. The first link will take you to the IUP Moodle landing page where you will find a wealth of information on Moodle at IUP. The link titled Contact the IUP IT Support Center is the link to choose if you need assistance with Moodle.
A course home page is in a three column layout. As you look at the page you will see blocks in both columns on the right and left side of the page. These blocks are how you access various parts of a Moodle course. For example you would select the Grades link in the Administration block to view your grades or select Assignments, Forums, or Quizzes in the Activities block to go to those areas in the course.
The center column is where you will find the course content. This area is divided into sections. This example shows content in the Moodle Weekly format. The top section, labeled, Course Welcome Section is where an instructor can put a welcome message and course related information. You will note the other section labeled, Course Content by Week displays dates by week. This permits an instructor to deliver content that is specific to each week of the course. Some instructors may use the Moodle Topic format if they wish to present content by topic instead of weekly.
Your instructor will give you details on how to move through the course content. If you need technical assistance, please contact the IT Support Center.
