Add an image directly to the Assets Manager:

  1. From the dashboard menu, select Create, then Upload File from the drop-down menu.
  2. Browse for the file (can upload to a subdirectory if desired), then click the Upload button.
  3. Enter a description for the image to be displayed in Assets Manager.
  4. Enter a tag or tags for the image to be displayed in Assets Manager.
  5. Uncheck the box next to "Create a new entry using this uploaded file" to place the image in the Assets Manager.
  6. Click on the Finish button.
  7. Under Assets Manager, click on the magnifying glass and you will see a thumbnail image that includes file name and size of image in both pixels and MB. Click the “x” in upper right corner of the popup window to close.

Add an image to an entry that already exists in the Assets Manager:

  1. From the dashboard menu, select Create, then Upload File from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter a title for the posting.
  3. Enter text for the body of the posting.
  4. Select the Insert Image button in the Edit Entry toolbar.
  5. To put the image in your post, select the radio button next to the image you want to put in the post. Click the Continue button.
  6. To place the image in your post, select “Display image in entry.” Unchecking this box puts a link to the image in your post.
    1. To use the image in the post as a thumbnail, select “Use thumbnail (width: textbox pixels).” You can set the size of the thumbnail by entering a dimension in textbox.
    2. To create a link in the posting to the full-size image, select “Link image to full-size version in a popup window. Click on the Finish button.
  7. You are taken back to the Edit Entry screen.
  8. You can preview an image before publishing by selecting the Preview button.
  9. You can add tags, categories, or keywords.
  10. Select the Save button to save the entry.
  11. Select the Publish arrows in the dashboard toolbar to post the entry to your blog.
  12. Select the View Site button in the dashboard to view your entry in your blog.

Add an image to an entry that is not currently stored in the Assets Manager:

  1. From the dashboard menu, select Create, then Upload File from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter a title for the posting.
  3. Enter text for the body of the posting.
  4. Select the Insert Image button in the Edit Entry toolbar.
  5. Select “Upload New Image,” found above the search box.
  6. Select the Browse button and locate the image on your computer or a network drive. Click on the Upload button.
  7. The File Options window is displayed, showing the name of the image in the name textbox.
  8. Enter a description for the image to be displayed in Assets Manager.
  9. Enter a tag or tags for the image to be displayed in Assets Manager.
  10. To place the image in your post, select “Display image in entry.” Unchecking this box puts a link to the image in your post.
    1. To use the image in the post as a thumbnail, select “Use thumbnail (width: textbox pixels).” You can set the size of the thumbnail by entering a dimension in textbox.
    2. To create a link in the posting to the full-size image, select “Link image to full-size version in a popup window.
  11. Click the Finish button.
  12. You are taken back to the Edit Entry screen.
