The virtual private network (VPN) uses the Internet to provide remote offices or individual users with secure access to the university's network.

The VPN must be used to:

  • Access network resources like the project directory or your home directory from off-campus
  • Access some library resources (on-line catalogs, for example)
  • Access the Banner web client from off-campus
  • Access the CMS from off-campus
  • Access the LDAP service from off-campus

 

Connect to the IUP Virtual Private Network using Windows Vista
Connect to the IUP network from off-campus using the IUP VPN (Windows Vista)
Connect to the IUP Virtual Private Network using Windows XP
Connect to the IUP network from off-campus using the IUP VPN (Windows XP SP2)
Connect to the Virtual Private Network using Mac OS (Tiger or Leopard)
Connect to the IUP network from off-campus using the IUP VPN (Mac OS - Tiger or Leopard)
