The IT Support Center provides support for student hardware.

We can:

  • Use a variety of utilities to identify and remove viruses and spyware.
  • Reformat and re-install your operating system, if you have your operating system CDs or if your PC has a restore partition.
  • Replace memory, hard drive, or power supply in PCs (students must purchase the hardware to be replaced).

This service is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and only a limited number of machines can be received. The equipment must be brought to the IT Support Center to be serviced and may be kept overnight for an indefinite period of time. If you are are bringing in a laptop for service, you must bring your power cord with you. All students will be required to complete the Computer Check-in Form as well as the Service Request and Release Form before any work can be performed.

The IT Support Center also makes a Cleanup CD available to students. This CD contains Sophos Endpoint Security and Control and a number of other utilities that aid in keeping your PC or laptop running smoothly. The Cleanup CD can be picked up in the lobby of the IT Support Center.
