Students have the ability to reset their own network passwords using URSA.
- Login to URSA with your Banner ID and PIN number. If you've forgotten your PIN number, click Forgot Pin? or go to the Registrar’s Office in Clark Hall with your I-Card to have the PIN number reset.
- Select Personal Information and Surveys.
- Select Student Password Reset Options.
- Select Network (You may also select E-mail and/or WebCT if you need to reset those passwords.)
- Click Reset Selected Passwords.
- You will be prompted to confirm the selection. If you wish to reset your network password to the initial computing password, click Proceed.
- A confirmation page will be displayed indicating that your request has been submitted. The reset request will be processed within 5 minutes. The password is reset to the initial computing password as shown on the confirmation page (refer to sample below). The initial password is case-sensitive.

It is recommended that you print out the initial password or write it down exactly as shown above.
- After waiting 5 minutes, go to https://www.iup.edu/netpwdchg to change your network password. You must do this before accessing any network services (P drive, I drive). Do not access any network services with your initial computing password. Refer to How to Change your Network Password for further information.
