Students have the ability to reset their own network passwords using URSA.

  1. Login to URSA with your Banner ID and PIN number.  If you've forgotten your PIN number, click Forgot Pin? or go to the Registrar’s Office in Clark Hall with your I-Card to have the PIN number reset.
  2. Select Personal Information and Surveys.
  3. Select Student Password Reset Options.
  4. Select Network  (You may also select E-mail and/or WebCT if you need to reset those passwords.)
  5. Click Reset Selected Passwords.
  6. You will be prompted to confirm the selection.  If you wish to reset your network password to the initial computing password, click Proceed.
  7. A confirmation page will be displayed indicating that your request has been submitted.  The reset request will be processed within 5 minutes.  The password is reset to the initial computing password as shown on the confirmation page (refer to sample below).  The initial password is case-sensitive.

It is recommended that you print out the initial password or write it down exactly as shown above.
  8. After waiting 5 minutes, go to https://www.iup.edu/netpwdchg to change your network password.  You must do this before accessing any network services (P drive, I drive).  Do not access any network services with your initial computing password.  Refer to How to Change your Network Password for further information.
