The IUP central website service uses a content management system.  The service consists of the following systems:

  • Production Central Web Server (www.iup.edu): This is IUP's main public facing web presense.  It is world accessable, with exception to IUP Only content, which requires IUP users to authenticate with their IUPMSD network username and password.
  • Staging Web Server (staging.www.iup.edu): This is where web authors and approvers create, submit, and approve content which is replicated to production nightly.
  • Backup Central Web Server:  This system provides redundancy of www.iup.edu if there is a critical production failure and is used for testing.
  • Training Web Server (training.www.iup.edu):  This system is used by the web-team for training web authors and approvers.
  • Development Web Server:  This system is used by application developers for code development and testing.

For more information on the content management system, including how to update content, please refer to the Web team's site.
