How do I set my User Preferences?

  1. Open WebCal.
  2. Click on the Preferences icon on the WebCal toolbar.
  3. Check each tab and modify as per the User Preference Defaults for WebCal.
  4. Click OK to change the settings.

I have not used WebCal and I don't know my WebCal password. How do I get it?

  1. Go to
  2. Click Sign in to MyIUP.
  3. Enter your username and network password. Click Login.
  4. Click Personal Info link from the top navigation bar.
  5. Select IUP computer account information for employees from the list of options under the Personal Information portlet.
  6. Your initial computing password will be displayed. Write it down exactly as it appears (it is case-sensitive). You will use this as your initial WebCal password. Your WebCal username is your IUP username.

How do I change my WebCal password?

  1. Open WebCal.
  2. Click on the Change Password icon.
  3. Enter your old password, then type in a new password, and enter the new password again to confirm it. Keep in mind that the WebCal password is case-sensitive, so pay attention to whether or not your CapsLock is on.
  4. Click Change Password.

Is my WebCal password case-sensitive?

Yes, your WebCal password is case-sensitive.

Does my WebCal password expire?

No, your WebCal password will not expire.

Is my WebCal password used for anything else?

No, your WebCal password is used only for WebCal access.

What do I do if I forgot my WebCal password?

If you forget your WebCal password, you can log a ticket in ihelp (preferred method) or send an e-mail to to request a WebCal password reset.

Can I access my calendar or those of others from another PC on campus?

Your personal WebCal agenda can be accessed from any PC that has an Internet connection.

Can I access my calendar or those of others from my home PC?


How will I know if someone schedules an event for me?

You will receive an e-mail notification that will state the date, time, location and title of the meeting you have been invited to.

Someone invited me to a meeting, and I can't delete it off of my agenda.

Only the person who scheduled a meeting can delete it. The only way you can remove a meeting from your agenda is to decline to attend it.

I accidentally activated AutoComplete to save my password. Is there a way to turn this off?

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. From the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, choose Internet Options.
  3. Select the Content tab, then choose Auto Complete.
  4. Click on the "Clear Passwords" button.
  5. Click OK to confirm.

Is there a quicker way to access another user's agenda? I don't like having to scroll down through the entire list of users.

You can type the last name of the user you are looking for and click Find. This will pull up only users with this last name. You may then add the user to your Favorites making it much easier to access that user's agenda.

Can I take Sat/Sun off of my agenda?

  1. Click on the Preferences icon on the WebCal toolbar.
  2. Click on the Display tab.
  3. Under the Start Week heading there are two boxes - Display Saturday and Display Sunday.
  4. Remove the check marks from these boxes and click OK.

What happens if I change my Entry Default Settings?

Changing "Entry Defaults" in the Preferences area will affect the way you view agendas, and the way others view yours. If you change Entry Default settings, others may be able to see personal and/or confidential events. Refer to the User Preference Defaults for WebCal.

Is there a shortcut to getting into WebCal?

Yes. You can add to your list of favorites for quick and easy access.
