How to Set Up your IUP E-mail Account on an iPhone, iPad or iPod

  1. Select the Settings icon.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Select Add Account…
  4. Select Other.
  5. Select Add Mail Account.
  • For Name: enter your first and last name
  • For Address: enter your IUP email address (, replacing username with your IUP username)
  • For Password: enter your e-mail password
  • For Description: enter the Account description such as: IUP I-Mail
  1. Click Next.
  2. Verify IMAP is selected.
  3. For the Incoming Mail server, enter the following information:
  • Host Name:
  • User Name: (enter your IUP username)
  • The password should already be entered. If it is not, enter your e-mail password.
  1. For the Outgoing Mail server, enter the following information:
  • Host Name enter
  • User Name: (enter your IUP username)
  • Password: (enter your e-mail password)
  1. Click Next. It will verify your account information.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Choose IUP I-Mail.
  4. Choose your e-mail address.
  5. Scroll to the bottom and choose SMTP.
  6. Choose
  7. Use SSL should be on. 
  8. Confirm the Server Port is 587.
  9. Click Done.
  10. Return to Home screen and open the Mail application and test.

The staff at the IT Support Center cannot set up these devices; however, they can assist when there may be an issue with your network and/or e-mail password. Keep in mind that you can reset your own network password and reset your own e-mail password.
