TurningPoint's description of a demographic comparison slide: “The Demographic Comparison slide visually displays the results of a question based on certain demographic information obtained from the audience. For instance, insert a comparison slide that calculates how participants' ages relate to the amount of television that they watch.”
- Before inserting a demographic comparison slide, you must designate at least one slide within your presentation as demographic.
- Select Insert Slide, as indicated by the red arrow. Choose any of the first six options from the dropdown menu, and create a normal interactive slide with a question that will collect demographic information.

- Then select Tools from the TurningPoint ribbon, as indicated by the red arrow.

- From the dropdown menu, select Settings.
- From the hierarchy on the left side of the Settings window, select a number and title of the question that should be designated as Demographic, as indicated by the red arrow.

- On the right side of the Settings window, scroll down to the Misc section within the settings, where you will find the Demographic setting.
- The value will be set to False by default. Change this value to True, and select Done to save your settings.

- Now navigate to the slide that you would like the Demographic Comparison slide to be inserted after.
- Again, select Insert Slide from the TurningPoint ribbon.
- Select Demographic Comparison Slide, which is located very close to the bottom of the drop down menu.
- The following Demographic Comparison dialog box will open.

- From the first dropdown menu, select the name and number of the slide that you designated as Demographic within the Settings.
- Note: It is recommended that you use a maximum of five answer choices on slides that will be used within a Demographic Comparison Slide for optimum readability.

- From the second dropdown menu, select an interactive question slide to link with the demographic slide.
- Note: Again, it is recommended that you use a maximum of five answer choices on slides that will be used within a Demographic Comparison slide for optimum readability.
- Select OK.
- The Demograhic Comparison Slide is automatically inserted displaying the demographic results in a chart. This slide creates its title based on the interactive question slide.
- Note: The slide will appear to have collected data even after you reset the session.
- When you are actually running your presentation, the chart will automatically update to reflect your results, as seen in the example below.
