Spear Phishing E-mail Alert

  • The IT Support Center continues to receive reports of different versions of spear phishing e-mail that is making its rounds to IUP users. The e-mail requests users to update their username and password via a Web link within the e-mail.

As you know, the IT Support Center or any other IUP technology support unit have been instructed not to request passwords, especially via e-mail. Users should never respond to these phishing attempts.

More information regarding spear phishing can be found on the Microsoft website.
