Office of International Affairs

IUP’s Office of International Affairs serves as an umbrella for the university’s many international initiatives, programs and events.

OIA Mission

The Office of International Affairs is the primary catalyst for Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s international initiatives. The OIA proactively facilitates, promotes, and organizes the international programs, events, support, and initiatives to more fully diversify IUP and local Western Pennsylvania communities.

The Office of International Affairs:

  • Provides services and programs that help international students, visitors, and faculty adjust to life in the United States
  • Fosters and maintains a variety of international exchange and study abroad programs for all students
  • Sponsors and organizes a variety of activities and programs to internationalize the campus and broader community
  • Facilitates exchange agreements and other internationalization efforts.
