Faculty Workshop: Desire2Learn Grades

In this workshop, you will use the Grades tool to set up a grade book for evaluating users' performance. You can set up grade items for any number of projects, assignments, and tests, and evaluate users in many different ways. You can also associate grades with items in the Dropbox, Quizzes, and Discussions. You will learn to control the grading formula used to calculate grades, and what grades and statistics are released to your users.

Men's and Womens's Basketball Select a Seat Night

The IUP men's and women's basketball teams have announced the second Seat Selection Night set for October 9 at the Kovalchick Complex and Athletic Complex. The event will allow returning and corporate season ticket holders to change their seats for the 2012-2013 men's and women's seasons. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., returning and corporate season ticket holders will be invited to the KCAC to select their seats. Following that, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the event will be open to the public. The men will tipoff the 2012-2013 season with an exhibition games at the University of Pittsburgh on October 26 and at the University of Maryland, in College Park, Md. on November 2. They will open the season at the KCAC November 10 against Pitt-Greensburg. The women will open their season in Storrs, Conn., with an exhibition game against the University of Connecticut on November 2. They will battle Concord and Fairmont State in Fairmont, W. Va., November 9-10 before their home opener November 25 against Bloomfield.

Dr. John Chrispell will present a workshop on LINGO/LINDO. LINDO and LINGO are a comprehensive software tools designed by Lindo Systems Inc. to help build and solve a wide variety of optimization models efficiently.
