6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m. | Sprowls Hall, Room 211 Get an introduction to the essential materials and techniques of drawing, students will develop observational abilities and rendering skills. The instructor presents methods of describing objects in terms of line, form, value, shape, and texture. Course projects help students explore the principals of light, space, composition, study basic shapes and graphite and charcoal. Students will be encouraged to draw from life setting objects, study basic shapes and shading, and experiment with new tools and drawing media. By the end of the class, students will have skills necessary to develop their relationship to their own work and to convey ideas and concepts through drawling. This class is for both beginners and students with experience.
