DESCRIPTION:Written by Russell Davis and directed by Matt Spencer, The Little Red Riding Hood Show follows Jennifer as she sets off to tell the story of Little Red Riding Hood. She travels, what may seem, a familiar path through the woods to Grandmother’s house. Along the way we meet her very resourceful Mother, her bedridden Grandmother, and Malarkey, the baddest of the big bad wolves. This adaptation is not your grandmother’s Little Red Riding Hood!This production is perfect for children of all ages. The Little Red Riding Hood Show runs February 22, 23 and 24th. On the 22 and 23rd the show starts at 7pm, and the 24th at 2pm. The show will be performed in the Studio theater in Waller Hall at the Performing Arts Center at IUP. Tickets are $4, or $2 with a I-Card, and may be purchased 45 minutes before the show.

DESCRIPTION:Written by John Patrick Shanley and directed by Theater major, Kaitlyn McGilvray, the setting for DOUBT: A Parable is St. Nicholas Catholic Church and school in the Bronx, New York. The year is 1964. St. Nicholas School has just admitted its first African-American student, Donald Muller, and Sister Aloysius, the school’s principal is concerned that St. Nicholas’s popular priest, Father Flynn, might be making improper advances toward the boy. She enlists the aid of a young teacher, Sister James, in her efforts to validate her concerns and confront Father Flynn. Flynn is as adamant in his denial of any wrongdoing as Sister Aloysius is certain that he is guilty. With Sister James and Donald’s mother, Mrs. Muller, caught in the middle, the priest and principal face off in a battle of wills that will force one of them to leave St. Nicholas.John Patrick Shanley won the 2005 Pultizer Prize and a Tony award for his play. His adaptation and direction of the film version brought a Golden Globe nomination as well. DOUBT: A Parable is Recommended for a mature audiences.BONUS- Pre-Show performance (at 8pm) A Staged Reading of How The Grinch Almost Stole Christmas, A New Work 10 Minute Play, written and directed by Derrick Shane.
