SUMMARY:Institutional Review Board Workshop: Vulnerable Populations
DESCRIPTION:IUP’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) provides oversight for research with human participants. The Board is introducing new, simplified forms and instructions as well as an educational series this spring to provide a forum for investigators and their advisors to learn about and/or discuss standards and practices associated with human subjects research. Each one-hour session will begin with a brief (10-15 minute) presentation pertaining to the topic of the day, followed by discussion of the topic and/or any other topic of interest to attendees.   All sessions will be held in 109 Uhler. 02/27/13:  Defining privacy 03/27/13:  Basics of informed consent04/10/13:  Vulnerable PopulationsThe program is open to everyone, but seating is limited.
