SUMMARY:A Brighter Future Brunch
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Hospitality Management will be celebrating spring and new beginnings on Sunday, April 7 from 10 AM until 2 PM in the Allenwood restaurant, located in the lower level of Ackerman. The ‘Brighter Future Brunch’, hosted by the IUP Department of Hospitality Management and Indiana’s Bridge Core, will feature a delicious menu with a kid-friendly section and basket raffles. Proceeds from the event will help fund Lifesteps’ free developmental/autism screening service for children birth to age five in Indiana county. Our Menu includes:Orange, Apple and Cranberry Juices; Salads: Amazing Ambrosia Salad; Garden Fresh Mixed Greens Salad; Cucumbers and Onions In Sour Cream; Delectable Apple Cinnamon Swirl Salad; Classic Caesar Salad; Entrees: Old-World Broccoli and Cheese Strata; Pancakes, Belgium Waffles and French Toast Sticks With Butter And Maple Syrup; Scrambled Eggs; Bacon & Country Sausage; Home Fries; Honey-Glazed Baked Ham; Succulent White Wine Chicken; Accompaniments: Carrots Vichy; Buttered Noodles; Green Beans Almandine; Rolls/Muffins/Danish/Bagels/Toast; Desserts:  Homemade Apple Pie, Divine Chocolate Cake & The Allenwood’s Famous Ice Cream Social; Beverages: Coffee, Decaf, Hot Tea Service, Iced Tea. DESCRIPTION:Our Menu for the Day: Salad:  Simple Fruit Salad- This unique fruit salad will surely satisfy your sweet tooth with a surprising ingredient. Can you guess what it is?  Entrée:  Southern Fried Chicken- Nothing says southern cuisine more than fried chicken paired with a wonderful chicken veloute! This comfort food is accompanied by silky mashed potatoes and maple chipotle corn with just enough spice to make you say wow!  Bread:  Grandma’s favorite buttermilk corn bread served with honey flavored butter – You’ll never question grandma again after trying this recipe!  Dessert #1:  Georgia Peach Cobbler – Sit back, relax, and imagine your outside on a sunny day in Georgia eating this simple but wonderful peach cobbler.
