No, this cessation service is available for students only. Smoking cessation resources are available for employees on the Human Resources website.
Why can’t I find the Smoking Policy on the Human Resources website?
The PASSHE Smoking Policy is not on the website at this time. The policy is under review and a recommendation will be submitted to the Board of Governors at its October 2008 meeting. When the Smoking Policy has been approved, it will be placed on the Human Resources website.
Is smoking permitted in individual residence hall rooms of residence halls owned by the university (Elkin, Lawrence, McCarthy, Scranton, Shafer, Whitmyre, University Towers)?
No, smoking is not permitted in individual rooms.
Is smoking permitted in individual residence hall rooms of residence halls owned by the Foundation for IUP (Susan Snell Delaney Hall, Donna D. Putt Hall, Northern Suites, Suites on Maple East and West)?
Is smoking permitted in residence halls or apartments that are owned by private individuals? (Oakland-Rooney Hall, Wyoming Hall, Thomas Hall, Moore Hall)?
These properties are not governed by the PASSHE policy because they are not campus property. Check with your landlord or building owner for policies within private residences.
